Remote, rugged and carved by a network of streams, ravines and some of the country’s most superb hiking trails, the Groendal Nature Reserve is the 3rd largest wilderness conservation area on South Africa. Teeming with fynbos, indigenous forests, and a diverse collection of valley bushveld scrub, the reserve is also host to a number of paintings, archaeological artifacts and archaeological sites left behind by the Khoi-San people.
