The appointment brokerage for the provision of medical aid brokerage service for Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency (ECPTA) for a period of five (5) years
The Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency (ECPTA) hereby invites interested and reputable service providers to submit proposals for the appointment of a Brokerage for the provision of medical aid brokerage service for Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency (ECPTA) for a period of five (5) years.
Completed documents accompanied by all necessary documents are to be placed in a sealed envelope with the bid name and number (as given above) clearly written in an envelope. All proposals must be deposited in the Tender Box, at the offices of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency at No 17-25 Oxford Street (Cnr of Fleet & Oxford Street), East London, 5200, by not later than 11h00 on 28 April 2017. Telephonic, Telegraphic, Facsimile, Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.

1. bidders who obtain 80 and above out of the 100 points for functionality (Stage 1 evaluation) will be invited for presentation (Stage 2 evaluation).
Bidder who passed stage 1 of evaluation will be invited for make a presentations of the methodology at the ECPTA office.
Bidders who score highest points in stage 2 may be recommended for appointment.

The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) is interested in giving an opportunity (ies) to the private sector to operate a new conference facility, develop other phases and manage nature-based tourism operations inside the abovementioned ECPTA managed NR. Proposed operations should entail the following: operator of a new conference facility, development of phase 2 &3, new water based sports (canoeing, kayaking, tubing, boat rides etc.); team building activities, camping outings, mountaineering and related activities (abseiling); mountain biking; guided walks, multiple day guided horse trails and events such as adventure trail runs. It will be preferred that proposal concepts subscribe to the national conservation best practices.
The RFP to be submitted can also suggest other activities not mentioned above. The shortlisted proposal may be invited for a presentation of operations at ECPTA Head Office in East London. The operations will be located at the Cape Morgan NR, at Kei Mouth an ECPTA managed reserve.
Request for Proposals should provide the following information:
ECPTA retains the right to enter into a short-term or a long term agreement with the preferred operator for a period likely to provide a fair return on investment for the private party. In return, the private party will meet agreed environmental, development, operating and broad-based black economic empowerment obligations.
A RFP, in a sealed envelope marked “RFP 04/15/16: OPERATOR FOR A NEW CONFERENCE FACILITY AT CAPE MORGAN NATURE RESERVE” should be submitted on or before 11h00am on Monday 22 February 2016 to ECPTA Head Office on the following address: No. 6 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London. A site visit can be arranged with the reserve manager concerned. The nature reserve can also be viewed at www.visiteasterncape.co.za.
